Failte Cottage , Rinevilla Bay, Co.Clare, Ireland
The cottage is one of a small group of three houses, facing south on the edge of Rinevilla Bay, which is on the Shannon Estuary.
It is nearest the sea wall, twenty feet from the shore.
Carrigaholt is a small fishing village about 2 miles away, which provides a post office, police station, shops, RC church, doctor's surgery, primary school, takeaway and several pubs/restaurants. The coast of Kilkee and Kilrush are within a 6 to 10 mile radius of the cottage.
This was once a fisherman's cottage, built circa 1840, with the best views of the Bay and the Shannon, and one of the oldest detached cottages still remaining at Rinevilla.
However, it has now been completely refurbished.
It is double-glazed and centrally heated.
It also has limited Sky and Irish TV.
There is a secure parking area for several cars with a solid wall
and a lawned area, all with uninterrupted 180 degree views of Rinevilla Bay,
the Brandon mountains across in Kerry, and the Shannon estuary.
There is a wide range of activities in the area
including: golf, sailing, surfing (only for the brave),
horse riding, fishing, walking, cycling. Horse sales, Health spa and Dolphin watch at Kilrush, also a Sunday market at Kilkee.
